Ian Carey Welding Specialists was set up in 2001 by Ian Carey with the aim of bringing a quality of welding and fabrication, gained from 10 years CAA approved certification in the Aircraft Industry, to general inquiry fabrications.

Opening a workshop in Helston, Cornwall it proved fortunate that next door was Renowned car designer Richard Oakes, who utilised Ians skills on various of his projects including a small 2 seater city car The Eco2 and his own superb new Blackjack Zero (see links page).

With the endorsement of Richard Oakes more and more commissions have been received from Kit Car and associated Motor Industries.

Another fortunate neighbour was Bart and Nele Aertgeerts of GP Technical who built Porsche RSK replicas. They used Ians skills to help implement necessary modifications to pass new sva requirements. They have also asked Ian to manufacture the stainless steel frontage to their new architects designed house.

Being located near Falmouth many enquiries from the Marine sector have been taken and numerous jobs undertaken ranging from small stainless componants to the major refit and extension of Zuza, an aluminium research and diving charter vessel.

Using modern welding plant including Migatronic MTE 320 ACDC Tig Welder and the Latest ESAB Aristo 500 Synergic Double Pulse MIG, there is little that cannot be undertaken at Ian Carey Welding Specialists.
